You sounded like a distant siren

{UPDATE: This look was featured on Weardrobe! Shazaam!}

Such a strange morning.

It looked like the crack of dawn until about 9:30.

Interesting.

I’m pretty excited to be debuting my wolf shirt that I got at Urban on Clearance this weekend.

Nothing like wearing a wolf shirt, a bolo, and power shoulders to make one not feel like a white trash cowboy ca. 1986

Look at those piercing wolf eyes!

{this is why the photos aren’t treated today- it would have totally negated any wolf shirt wearing points}

Bottom Up:

Shoes: Seychelles

jeans: ?

Wolf Shirt: Urban

Bolo: Thrifted

Hair: Born with it

For smaller feet.

I mean seriously.

Nearly every pair of killer vintage shoes is at best, a 6.5.

I know that proportionately speaking, a pair of size 5 feet would look horrifying on me.

But you’d probably be so distracted by my glorious shoes that it wouldn’t matter in the first place.

{6-6.5}

{Vtg. Dior: 5}

{7. Not super small, but too small nonetheless}

{50s deck shoes: 6}

{70s plats: 6}

{6.5}

SO, if YOU or anyone you KNOW has super teeny tiny feet, please feel free to buy all of these shoes and take pictures of yourself in them for me.

Because I won’t be gluing my face over your face in the photo.

I promise.

{and if you forgot how the internet functions, allow me to remind you that by clicking on these images you will immediately be taken to their point of origin. Where you may buy them.}

{UPDATE: This look was featured on Weardrobe! Yay!}

At least it’s Wednesday already.

My mind is kind of fried, though.

I don’t quite know why.

And another day with mild ear-fear.

One of these days I’ll get over it.

High Noon

June 1st, 2010 § 4

Oh Sunday, I miss you so much already.

And not that it should or would matter, but I must disclose that I did not wear this all day Sunday. Or even for the majority of the day. We got up early and sailed the garages and then I found these shorts mid-afternoon (not at a garage sale. We found one (1) garage sale). THEN, we went to Papa Cullie‘s to watch him give his singing debut!!!!

It was amazing.

And he sung Mack the Knife.

Which was even more amazing.

And I wasn’t wearing this outfit then either.

I was enjoying the wind.

And yes: I love a Budweiser. Sowhatwhocares??!!

Um oh yeah, this guy was there too.

Obviously.

And that my friends, was only a teeny tiny piece of Sunday.

Animal Friends

June 1st, 2010 § 1

As I may have mentioned with great excitement, we went to the Zoo on Saturday.

It was everything we’d dreamed of and then some.

{It was and also always will be incredibly upsetting, but we have to redirect our minds in order to enjoy it}

And as I look through these pictures, I’m getting that post-beach vacation thing where you have like almost 100 pictures of sunsets but they all look the same and none of them are very good anyway….

So with that I give you:

A strange Fish with mouth agape

A female Peacock (they roam freely at the Denver Zoo) being followed by yours truly.

A Zebra Mom

A Tucan with mouth agape

Another bird friend roaming freely

Monkey friend who some asshole was tossing Popcorn to. Seriously?!

The most handsome Gorilla

And another Zebra

And that my friends, was the Denver Zoo.

Oh the shark has pretty teeth, dear

What a glorious weekend we had.

Hope you did the same.

Unfortunately though, now we’re back at work.

Work.

Yuck.

It was definitely the kick-off to Summer.

I believe (although I haven’t actually checked yet) that I have some pictures from the weekend.

If I do, and they aren’t horrible, you should be seeing them soon.

If not, I’m sorry.
