We stopped at perfect days

Feels like Spring again.

My #1 Spring accessory? Pipe. Obviously.

It just screams Spring so loudly it cannot be ignored.

It’s huge in Europe. Take my word.

Bottom Up:

Shoes: Seychelles

Socks: Target

Skirt: Thrifted

Tank: Target

Cardigan: Target

Givenchy Bandana: Gift from my Dad and Peggy.

Here’s to more sunny day, folks!

Dear Snow,

We had a really nice Winter together. We had some great memories, I bought a lot of clothes just for you, fixed my car just for you, and even knit scarves and the like. Just for you.

But, there’s someone else.

Spring is here and we were really getting along great and I thought we totally hit it off.

And then you came back. Uninvited. And really made things awkward.

So, I guess what I’m trying to say is….

It’s time we broke up.

I don’t want to see you anymore.

Don’t call. Don’t write.

Don’t cry.

Bottom Up:

Sam Edelman Zoe Boots: GIFT

(Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I love you.)

Tights:?

Thigh-high stockings over the tights: Walgreens

Skirt: Buffalo Exchange

Dress as a shirt: Target

Blazer: Thrifted from little boy’s section

Carson Pirie Scott Co. Fur: Thrifted

Yikes, this was really tough.

These were taken about 20 minutes after a freak, morning hail storm.

It was windy and the lighting was incredibly poor.

But, you work with what you got.

I guess.

Bottom Up:

Shoes: Bakers

Socks: Target

Jeans: ?

Tank: Target

Overshirt \ Cardigan(?): Buffalo Exchange

I wouldn’t say I’m bummed out….

But I got to work and realized that I look and feel like Michael Jackson today.

It feels weird.

Saturday: Continued

April 5th, 2010 § 1

After a long day’s work, we headed out to explore the (very South side of) town.

After a few wrong turns, we slammed on the breaks to figure out what the hell that shit in the park was.

And so we did.

One of the most awesome, bizarre, and giggle-inducing art installations I have ever seen.

These trees were planted in the ground and then twisted, twisted, twisted around each other to create these nests. Amazing.

It very much reminded me of Where the Wild Things Are.

And that wasn’t all!!!

Ryan and I were super lucky, though. It happened to be both of our un-birthday’s so we got invited to tea!

It was, however, deceptively freezing- so we’ll have to go back (with better costumes, obviously) when it warms up a bit more.

But it was awesome. And a very nice surprise.

Happy belated Easter.

This is kind of a short one, as for some reason the majority of the pictures were absolutely horrible.

I blame the Easter Bunny.

Bottom Up:

Shoes: Payless

Socks: Target

Dress: Jean Paul Gaultier for Target

(Guh!!!!)

Cardigan: Thrifted Target

Well look at that: Saturday was nearly all thrifted and Sunday was nearly all Target.

I’m sure you all believe me when I say that I do have things from places other than thrift stores and Target.

Anyway, onto the fun bits:

Our Easter meal consisted of ridiculous amounts of Dim Sum with my Dad and Hollie.

Then, onto Steuben’s we went for afternoon cocktails in the sun.

All in all, it was a delightful Easter Sunday.

I hope yours was, too.

What a gorgeous Saturday!

This is part of our rooftop deck- see them Rocky Mountains?

Bottom Up:

Spectator Pumps: Thrifted

(These rarely make it out of the house. For some reason, they are like the only pair of vintage shoes I have that are actually big for an 8. I kind of feel like I’m playing dress up in mom’s shoes…. But Ryan said they look fine. So they look fine.)

Trousers: Thrifted

(These want to fool you into thinking they’re winter trousers. But they’re actually a very light and breezy rayon/linen mix. Interesting, no?)

Blue Canvas Belt: Thrifted

(Found on yesterday’s lunch hour. I did well.)

Tee: Target

(This is the only item that isn’t thrifted. Wow.)

Blazer: Thrifted

(Little boy’s section yesterday. Told you I did well.)

Necklace: Thrifted

Givenchy hankie doubling as pocket square: Thrifted

(Due to the nature of its embroidery, the GIVENCHY is upside down. But we’ll just say I did that on purpose. You know– e d g y.)

Handmade Purse: Thrifted

Annnnd- all of these thrifted items came from the same thrift store.

It is. The best.

A day in the life

April 2nd, 2010 § 0

I work at a laser spa.

We do all sorts of crazy things like tattoo removal, hair removal, chemical peels, cellulite treatment, you name it.

I’m always on the hunt for new, developing, and trending news in our field.

This, though, has got to be the best ever.

It was found at realself.com which is actually an amazing site if you are thinking of doing any sort of cosmetic treatment, plastic surgery, dermatological treatment, or anything else of that nature.

They have doctors answering questions and squelching rumors 24/7.

So, please enjoy.

Thank you, Dr. P.
